I was very excited to finish this little project as I've been dreaming of it for quite some time. I didn't use a pattern for this skirt and I was really pleased with how it turned out. As with every project I always learn to do something a bit better so there are still a few little things I'd change but over all I love it. I put hidden pockets at the side and covered zipper at the back with a clasp at the top. Once again my overlocker came in handy as this fabric frays really easily. I'm getting a lot quicker at these projects so I think I'll task myself with another one this weekend.
Luckily the first night I wore it (last night) we went to the Opera house to see Beethoven 9: Ode to Joy which was just lovely. Hearing the choir, with the orchestra and the opera singers was incredible. A beautiful peaceful evening. Then a stroll through Circular quay to get a gelato and back home to our lovely boys. We decided that would be our Valentines day so we avoid all the fuss on the 14th.
